An Indian national, who was jailed on charges of over-staying in Pakistan last month, died of heart failure at a prison in this eastern Pakistani city, officials said today.
Muhammad Naeem, a 25-year-old resident of the Uttar Pradesh, suffered a heart attack yesterday and died in the hospital in Kot Lakhpat jail. The officials said Naeem was imprisoned on charges of over-staying in Pakistan in March.
His body was sent for an autopsy. Officials said the Indian High Commission would be informed about the incident and arrangements would be made to send Naeem's body back to India.
